Samsung Gear VR Users Can Watch Rio Olympics Events In Virtual Reality
Samsung took a step forward to make their users watch Rio 2016 Olympics events in Virtual Reality with Samsung Gear VR. This is exclusively available for the Gear VR products owners from August 6 to August 22, 2016.

Samsung announced that it has made a deal with NBC Olympics to provide this content to owners of Galaxy S6, S6 Edge, S6 Edge Plus, S7, S7 Edge, Note 5 and a Gear VR headset. Users will be able to watch the Olympics up to 85 hours from the opening ceremony to closure.

Samsung said,

If you are right there! NBC Olympics will also provide VR coverage of the beach volleyball, boxing, diving, men's basketball, gymnastics, track and field, fencing events including the semi-final and final events.
Users won't be able to watch the live events but can watch in a slight delay. If you want to watch them live, you can switch to NBC Sports app and attach the Gear VR. NBC Sports requires a cable subscription, so you will need to sign-in to verify that you are paying for the content in the first place.

The content will begin hitting the service from August 6, a day after the Rio Olympics events begin.
